If you love animals, food and binge watching Grey’s Anatomy and Friends, then you have a few things in common with our director of special events. We'd like to introduce you to Valerie Bradley.
How would you describe yourself?
I am a very outgoing person who loves meeting new people (and dogs). I’m also a very passionate foodie. One of my favorite things to do is go to different restaurants and try new dishes! Although I love going out to enjoy good food with great people, I’m also a big fan of sitting on the couch to binge watch Grey’s Anatomy and Friends. Although I can be a bit of a perfectionist at times, I understand that enjoying life and having fun is one of the best and most important things you can do for yourself.
How do you serve our Chapter?
I am the director of special events, which means that I am in charge of contacting guest speakers and coming up with fun, new topics for each PRSSA meeting. My job is to make each meeting as innovative, fun and informative as possible!
What should members reach out to you for?
Members should reach out to me for pretty much anything. I want to be looked at as more of a peer than as a member of the executive board. I think it’s really important that all of our members feel comfortable coming to us for anything that’s on their mind, because we’re all in this together and no member ever gets left behind.
How does PRSSA inspire you?
PRSSA inspires me because it's a unique organization where so many different people can come together in order to help one another in the same field of expertise. It’s hard to find a group of people who are willing to support each other and help each other succeed.
What are your career aspirations?
I am a HUGE animal lover, so I see myself starting my own animal-related nonprofit. I plan on using my skills as a public relations practitioner to market my organization well and create a successful PR campaign that will allow it to thrive!
If you have ideas about topics you'd like our Chapter to explore or questions about our meetings, feel free to email Valerie at val@joebradley.com. We can't wait to see how we'll grow professionally through our meetings this year!
