How would you describe yourself?
I am pretty chill, so don't be afraid to come to me about your school or life stresses! I am very driven and deeply care about the quality of my work, I have a crass sense of humor and I'm not very good at having free time. Lastly, I love the mountains, so you can expect me to disappear in the winter to snowboard my tension out.
How do you serve our Chapter?
As the director of finance, I handle all cash flows within the Chapter — whether it be fundraising, donations or general expenses. I also coordinate fundraisers with our Chapter's Director of Special Events Valerie.
What should members reach out to you for?
Members can reach out to me for anything! Whether it be underclassmen who have an interest in PR, but may be conflicted about declaring, upperclassmen who are struggling especially with the rigorous coursework in the JMS majors, or general questions about PR or student life on campus. I love SDSU and want to support my fellow members as much as possible to ensure they have the most fulfilling experience in PRSSA!
How does PRSSA inspire you?
PRSSA is a constant inspiration. The speakers from various PR careers have been influential as well as inspirational, especially as ethically-grounded guides. But I have to say my fellow PRSSA members have had the largest impact, I have met close friends with drive that is unparalleled. They push each other — and myself — constantly while also providing a healthy environment of understanding and inclusiveness.
What are your career aspirations?
My career aspirations are to pursue a career in PR or general communications in the tech industry, specifically environmental sustainability (think solar, or digital solutions in technology to environmental issues). Having grown up around Yosemite, I want to give back the best way I know how — effectively communicating.
